OUR STORY

From a tribute to a brand new project

Fuzz Kitchen is a new project for 2026 with music written by Simon Thorpe. The group evolved from Hatfield & the Health, conceived in 2020, which revisited the music of the UK Canterbury Scene of the late 1960s and early 1970s.

Along the way the band earned much acclaim from fans and critics — as well as from original Canterbury music pioneers like Brian Hopper and Richard Sinclair.

Due for release in September 2026, Fuzz Kitchen is an album of fourteen tracks, instrumental and vocal, with a blend of composed structure and improvisation. It follows the continuum of a distinctively English style of music with a unique combination of rock, jazz and folk tunes with witty, whimsical lyrics.

REVIEWS

Reviews from our fans

Your ‘Song of Canterbury’ is wonderful. Great tune, lovely lyrics. The musicians are supersonic. Real Spirit of Canterbury!

Richard Sinclair
(Caravan, Hatfield & the North, Camel)

“This is the most exciting repertoire event I've seen in years. Some world class musicians exploring the rarest corner of 1970s British prog and fusion."

Chris Ingham
