Fuzz Kitchen is a brand new project for 2026 with music written by Simon Thorpe. The band evolved from Hatfield & the Health, a group conceived in 2020 that revisits the music of the Canterbury Scene, which had emerged in the UK in the late 1960s and early 1970s. Following gigs in 2022/3, and after much acclaim from fans and critics, as well as from original Canterbury music pioneers like Brian Hopper and Richard Sinclair, Simon set about writing brand new music and songs to add to the repertoire. 

 

Due for release in September 2026, Fuzz Kitchen is an album of fourteen tracks, instrumental and vocal, with a blend of composed structure and improvisation. It follows the continuum of a distinctively English style of music with a unique combination of rock, jazz and folk tunes with witty, whimsical lyrics.
